Vinyl
LVP and LVT
One of our favorite products to install is Luxury Vinyl Planks and Tiles. There is a huge benefit for installing this product in rentals and homes with lots of children and pet activities because of its resistance to scratching and water. We prefer the glue down method over the floating floor style. Two reasons behind this:
- Replacing a plank or tile is simple and easy to do since it is put down on a pressure sensitive adhesive. This allows you to remove a plank in the middle of the floor without having to undo half the floor to reach the damaged goods. And the adhesive is reusable.
- In case of any water damage or spills, the product will not allow any water to get in between the floor and planks.
We deal with a lot of water mitigation cases where we need to rip out floors because the water gets under the floating floor. Gluing it down minimizes this issue and saves you money in the future.
Engineered Hardwood and Laminate
If you want to have wood floors but don’t want to break the bank, go with engineered hardwood floors. They are a good choice if you don’t want a laminate and can’t afford solid wood floors.
The base is a plywood and the top surface is a beautiful layer of wood.
